Factory 16.5x10 6 lug wheels? What Hubcap?
I am trying to purchase a set of 16.5x10" wheels with 6 bolt pattern. The seller claims that they are factory 1972 truck wheels. I have searched here and found that they were a factory option on multiple threads, but can anyone tell if this is in fact the wheel that the factory offered? Also what hubcap fits these wheels? There are no nubs and it looks like it might have had clips at one time. Is there a P03 cap with 1/2ton 4x4 hub hole available with inside clips that would fit, or some other option? I have seen many say that most people that ran these wheels "in the day" wouldn't have ran hubcaps, but I would like to. What is a fair price to pay for a set of these wheels?

So what I am finding is that these wheels were available starting around 64. Since these have inside clips they are probably are 64-68 wheels and a 72 P03 cap will not fit them. Can anyone confirm my theory?

No easy way to put a cap on them. I wouldn't give much for them.

It is the correct 16.5" wheel GM used in '72. These wheels were never designed to accept period '69-'72 hubcaps. In '73, GM came out with a new wide 15" 6 lug wheel that did accept period hubcaps.

Not that it matters a whole lot, but these wheels would be 9.75" wide. That's how 16.5 rim widths ran, with fractions never an even number. I think it was to help identify them for safety.
These wheels would have come with no hubcaps. It is possible the clips type caps would fit if you installed clips. Get an old cap and see if it fits

Re: Factory 16.5x10 6 lug wheels? What Hubcap?
Thanks for the replies everyone. I contemplated this deal too long yesterday and missed these wheels and tires. It seems like it would have been difficult to attach caps to these anyway. They were asking 250 for 5 wheels and 4 35x12.5 tires. I'm kind of wishing I would have moved a little faster just for the unique factor of them.
