1949 disk brake converted front axle and 3800 frame/axle
Here's what's leftover after converting to a new frame.
1950? front axle with full CPP 6-lug disk brake conversion. New aluminum hubs and tapered roller bearings. Zero miles on it. It's been sitting outside for about a year. I have a new steering link and power steering box at my house to go with it. Overall about $800 in new parts that I decided not to use. The axle is currently bolted to a 1949 Chevy 3800 frame. The frame is all orginal except the missing transmission crossmember. It's got a Eaton HO72 rear axle with 5.14 gears in it. The axle seems to be good although I haven't pulled the cover. The rear brakes need work as they are dragging and haven't been touched. $400 for the front axle or $800 for everything. I'd be willing to trade for a 47-53 big bolt front clip or 6.0 LS parts (I really need a set of heads. don't care if they are stock) for the race truck. comes with wheels and tires to roll around on. The front wheels are new 6-lug Soft 8s.
