Unusual rear bumper brackets

Picked up a 68 the other day and the rear bumper was in the back.. it's an oem bumper but I never seen brackets like these on our trucks. Have you guys?

Aw crap really? I shoullda flipped it over! Lol
Well it's gonna go to the scrap metal then...can't have ford parts contaminating my purdy Chevy.
