small window glass size
Ok, I am getting ready to order glass for my '67 small window cab. The question I have is what size does the small window take?
I measured my rear window opening and its 39-3/4" at the base and a height of 10-1/2". Looking at glass suppliers their windows are 42" wide by 12" in height. I want to verify the size before I order anything. Thanks |

Re: small window glass size
I have one out in my garage.
The actual glass size is 40" wide, and 11" tall. They are all the same. The 42" x 12" size might be the shipping size. Just call them and ask. |

Re: small window glass size
Thanks for the info Zeroman. I just want to be sure as I won't be putting them in for a bit. Just want to have them on hand for when I do.

Re: small window glass size
Well I called CJPony and they confirmed the rear glass size is 12"h x 42" wide. So is there any trucks out there that use a rear window that size?
I did find a vendor on Ebay that has a 11"h x 40"w. |

Re: small window glass size
You know the glass does not go in the opening right? The gasket positions it on top of the flange in the opening. Not sure what the ordering problem is? Do you have a custom rear window? Went to Classic Heartbeat and Classic Parts and they both have clear and tinted back glass offered for a 67 small window.

Re: small window glass size
Yes, I understand that the glass sits outside of the rough opening in the gasket. I finally found the sliding window I took out and it measured 41-1/4" x 11". The issue with the vendors you mention is that they don't offer a smoked tint.
I'm beginning to believe the 42" x 12" is for a flush mount. I'll check that tomorrow and hopefully that is what it is. This whole thing really does not make any sense since there is suppose to be only one size for a small window cab. |

Re: small window glass size
A viable option to me if glass was not available in tint choice (smoke tint is not factory) would be buy clear glass and have tint applied. There are many options available. If not wanting to do it yourself guessing it would be pretty cheap if bare glass was brought to a window tint place.

Re: small window glass size
contacted the supplier and they stated the rear glass would fit my truck. Even though their description stated it was 12 x 42. Got the glass today and all is right. The rear glass actually measured 11.5 x 40.25 which is the correct size.
