Boyd’s fuel tank and fuel lines question
Can you guys tell me what I need to order In terms of fuel lines to plumb my Boyd’s fuel tank for my 68 c10? I found this kit but it’s $475, is that something I need? https://azproperformance.com/product...e-efi-line-kit
I’m doing an ls swap and the fuel lines are all I’ve got left to order. And trying to figure out what exactly I need. Thanks |

Which tank from Boyd’s did you go with?
That kit is a lot of money, but if that’s your taste and within your budget And your power level isn’t crazy Then buy it. However, it can be done for much cheaper. I would recommend getting the corvette style fuel filter and run a return less style fuel rail, which you might have already depending on your setup. If not you can modify the return style fuel rail. What I did for my ls swap was use a 2002 Camaro fuel pump. Got some corvette stainless steel flex lines which uses the push connect fittings ran those from the filter to the pump, ran 3/8” cu/ni fuel line from the filter to the front of the cab, coupled a factory truck fuel line I got from a junkyard And ran that up to the engine. I tried to do my swap low buck and I don’t have any issues

That's an outrageous price for some hose and a few fittings
you can source the same thing from Summit or other sellers much cheaper

Check out hot rod fuel hose. They have better pricing. They have everything n stock and it’s what they do. Tell them what u have and they can get u a kit price on what u need. They carry the corvette style filter/regulator. If u have a stock motor, then that will get u by. If u go above 430 hp, u need to look n 2 a return system. Nothing against Holley but the filter n the pic doesn’t get good feed back. Aeromotive is a nice piece (comparably priced)and u won’t find a lot of people putting there stuff down.

Is your engine a return or non return fuel line set up? Mine is the non return type. If you look in my build thread I have a list of all the parts I used for my Boyd Tank. If you can't find it let me know and I'll dig it up.

Here you go:
I ran braided 6an line from my fuel rail (no return) to the frame where I connected to the 3/8" metal tube. The tube runs to where the frame starts to bend upward. From there I go back to a very short piece of braided to the WIX filter. From the filter I go braided to the Boyd tank. Here are the parts I ordered starting from the fuel rail back to the tank. All part numbers are from Summit and I did mine in black. 1 - Fuel line adapter 3/8" RUS-644113 2 - 6an hose end female RUS-610025 3 - Russel 6 an hose (about 2.5' from rail to frame) RUS-632090 4 - 6an hose end female RUS-610025 5 - Male 6an to male 3/8" NPT ICB-AN816-06-06A 6 - 3/8" hard line - purchased a straight piece local that was flared with 3/8" female ends 7 - Male 6an to male 3/8" NPT ICB-AN816-06-06A 8 - 6an hose end female RUS-610025 9 - Another probably foot long piece of braided 10 - 6an hose end female RUS-610025 11 - 3/8" fitting for WIX filter push in type RUS-64090 12 - For the other end of your WIX you will have another 3/8" adapter (RUS-644113) and a 5/16" adapter (RUS-644123) 13 - Both fittings will need the RUS-610025 14 - Braided hose to your pump and return 15 - Pump line needs a RUS-610165 and a ICB-F06AN060R 16 - Return line needs a RUS-610165 and a SUM-220648B

Price seems pretty high on that kit. The fuel filter/regulator is $165 of that, so you're essentially paying $300 for some braided lines and fitttings, which should cost about 1/3 of that all said and done.
If I was desiging the setup I'd instead opt for a Fuelab filter and an Aeromotive adjustable regulator and use similar lines and fittings. |

I'm using a boyd tank on my 72 4x4. I bought a blazer steel line from inline tube then in the middle of the line were it lays straight and flat in the frame rail I cut it in half and put the front and rear pieces where they needed to be and gave my self a little wiggle room and measured the empty distance which was like 11.5 in. Then sent both pieces back to inline tube where they put nuts back on the ends of the lines I cut and flared them. They also made the 11.5 in line with nuts and flares. Now it all goes together as hard lines. I tried to convince them to start making this line as a one piece for rear tank applications, but they didn't seem to excited about my idea.

These corvette quick connect hoses go for like $10 on eBay. Get some 3/8 copper nickel line and find someone near you with the master cool tool that flares the GM push connect fittings. I bet you could make a fuel line less than $100. (I did)

I bought the kit from AZProperformance. I needed it quick and didn't have time to source everything individually. The kit was very nice and I was able to complete the Boyd's tank install without issue.
