Are there 2 different rear window seals for the 81-87 pickups, for original slider, and solid glass windows? I picked up an original 84 slider for my 84 Sierra, to get rid of the solid glass, and was told the original rubber seal wont work on original sliders. Can someone verify this for me please? I have an original style metal topper with a slider in the front so the window I picked up will be perfect for the truck.

Two different seals. One is bigger than the other, can’t remember which goes with what.

The wider gap seal is for the slider. The thin is for the glass. Good luck!

most aftermarket sliders had a lip to let them pop in the solid glass rubber .

I've done a Google search to no avail, so I'm guessing I'm going to have to find a good used one then.

Ive pulled many a solid rear glass and installed an aftermarket slider without any issues

Thanks, old rusty. I'll give it a shot. The seal feels pretty soft and pliable so hopefully no issues

I’m sorry if I wasn’t very detailed in my first reply. If you have a OEM aluminum frame slider then you will need a wide gap gasket for it. Anything else (factory tempered back glass and/or most AFTERMARKET sliders are going to be in the thin gap gaskets. Hope it helps.

I did some research on this when looking for a seal for my OEM slider in my 1979 K25. The GM part numbers are 363110 or 15593323 for Rear window seal w/rvl. Or 363109 or 15590421 for Rear window seal w/o rvl. I pulled a 363109 and a 15590421 from junkyard trucks, ended up using the 15590421. I think I still have the 363109.
