Cowl Hoods
Does anyone have suggestions for a vendor for a cowl hood? I have one currently on my 81 that i bought 15 years ago and it seem to bow in the middle and never fit super well. I really like the look and would like to buy another. I am in DFW area and know southwest classics sells them but not sure on fit.
Any suggestions?

Re: Cowl Hoods
When I did the research for my purchase. I ended up finding the best deal, including shipping and taxes, was to go to Summit in Arlington and pick it up. If you do that, make sure to inspect the hood right there inside the store before you accept it.

Re: Cowl Hoods
Not sure if I'm mistaken, but I thought the OP asked for a vendor, not a manufacturer for the hood. I took it that he was looking for a place to buy the hood? Sorry, if my reply was incorrect.

I talked to southwest classic and they use triplus and said they have no issues with the fit of their cowl hoods. Just more expensive.

Re: Cowl Hoods
I picked up some 67-72 wheel tubs (widened & stock width) from Summit & both were from AMD. Point being, there are probably multiple 'sources' that Summit distributes for.

Re: Cowl Hoods
Get the Key parts hood, most of the Goodmark and private labeled hoods are the Key Parts brand. I used to sell them and was a goodmark dealer 75% of the boxes were keyparts. Probably sold over 200 of them never had a come back.
