Dually wheel air valves
What have you guy's used for the rear dually wheels for putting air in them? I had to take my simulators off to get to the valve stems. I want something that will work without taking them off the next time.

I don't have a picture on my computer but mine are flexible rubber and they clip onto the edge of the cutout in the rim. Here are some flex ones on eBay. They come in different lengths and styles. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2-STEEL-DUA...-/281490252274 LockDoc

I was looking at the ones I posted but I may try a local shop next week on I-85 when I go over to the LKQ yard to look for some parts.

Re: Dually wheel air valves
Just use the short rubber valves and use a long solid air chuck with the angled foot on it. The less places to leak the better.

The problem is with the simulators on the wheels I can't reach them. The holes in the simulators are much smaller. The wheel opening is fine but I don't want to have to take them off every time to check the pressure.

Re: Dually wheel air valves
I've used both the metal extenders and the flexible ones (anchored to a wheel hub on a 29,000 lb motor home). Both work OK. The flexible ones are a little easier in my opinion.

Re: Dually wheel air valves
Seems like those extras would impact the balance.
I just pop the caps off but I don't check mine that often so it's never been a concern.

Re: Dually wheel air valves
Good point on the balance of the wheel. I don't really like taking the simulators off to much because that is why you lose hub caps. The tangs get worn and loose.

Re: Dually wheel air valves
Keep them close to the hub. There's much less impact on the balance that way.
