1970 SWB / Roadster Shop Fast Track Chassis

Just getting underway on a complete build. Super clean 1970 SWB bought out of Texas and shipped to Oregon as my platform. Plans are coming together with, Roadster Shop Fast Track Chassis set to be delivered in January. Planning on 1000 HP (Whipple) and a T56 Mag Trans.

How do you post photos on this forum? It asks for a URL?

When you go to post there's a button in there to manage attachments. There are size restrictions but that's how I do it.
We all love pictures! Sounds like a great project

Re: 1970 SWB / Roadster Shop Fast Track Chassis

This sounds like an interesting build, good luck from Portland.

The photos can be uploaded to this site, it's pretty cumbersome but works. I do that for my build thread because I don't want to share my photos with public links.

The other option, if you have google photos of another cloud backup, is to share your photos with public links and embed the link in your posts.

You will love the Fast Track chassis. Goes together extremely well. Just put one under my Son's 72 C10.

Re: 1970 SWB / Roadster Shop Fast Track Chassis

Skidmore Garage: This truck will be built to handle corners at high rate of speed with a low and aggressive stance. I usually put way more HP into my builds than is reasonable but that's what I like to do! The plan is still in development but it will be over the top for sure. Lot's of one off stuff.

Mock Up Engine

Found a junk 6.0 which will be perfect for mocking up for the LS3 Build.

Awesome! I appreciate the little updates. I've been neglecting my build thread, and feel a bit guilty. Other people's build updates remind me to get my pictures up.

Re: 1970 SWB / Roadster Shop Fast Track Chassis

Im down in Junction City, about an hour and a half south or so.

I work at Metalworks in Eugene. I do a lot of Art Morrison chassis's with the GM Performance engines. The LSA is pretty awesome.

I have not done any Roadster shop chassis yet but we are a dealer for them.

It does change the whole dynamic of the truck when you put these modern chassis under them. 550 hp out of the box is pretty healthy.

Have fun with it,
Tom

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Can’t wait to get my chassis and get going on my build. You’re starting with a nice truck from the looks of things.
