P/s bracket
I have been working with the p/s pump mount for a month now. Started off with no brackets and tried all available brackets that friends said would work, but none would line up and work.
Could any of you guys have the brackets in your pile of extras that i could get to finally complete this project? All help will be greatly appreciated, since i can't move on with restoration until i get past this fix. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. Re: P/s bracket
No, i'm told that this won't work either. You are right; for wrong engine!!
I'm putting a power steering pump on a 1984 305 and i have no idea what brackets go with this set up. It came to me in boxes. I am open to any teaching and instructions that make this work. If you have one that is together and working please send anything that will explain what brackets I will need. PHOTOS OF BRACKETS WOULD BE GREAT! I don't claim to be a genius but this thing is whipping my butt and making me feel really stupid. They say it's the simple things that cause the most problems. Should be easy, but just can't get a handle on how this all goes together. Thanks for the help.... |

Re: P/s bracket
Well the first thing we will need to know is are you keeping the with the king water pump or short water pump? And are you wanting any PS that will work, factory style, correct style pump or any other variations. Post up a pic of your engine so we can start seeing what you have and guys can give you a better idea of what you need parts-wise. I went through absolute craziness trying to get the correct pullies and pump to go back with the OEM style set-up.

Re: P/s bracket
Yea we really need to know what water pump you have on the motor and crank pulley. Do you want to stay stock are you willing to go with aftermarket?
Your 305 should be the basic setup as a 307. Do your heads have the bolt holes in them on the front side of the heads and block to mount the brackets?
