Cruise control
Like the title says , cruise control . Did these trucks ever have it ? Or were they butchered from other make(s) and model(s) ?
Noticed a few alternative(s) back in the day ( like one was a sears option ) . What could be used now , as in installing one ?

Re: Cruise control
No cruise control on these trucks was not factory. But here's a guy who did a pontiac unit - http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ol#post8793824
And one who did an aftermarket - http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...cruise+control

Re: Cruise control
I think 1968 was the first year for cruise control on Chevy trucks. I have added factory cruise control on several vehicles. Recently, I added it to a '64 C10. This style cruise was common on '70s era GM vehicles. Sorry for the sideways picture.

Re: Cruise control
When I was much younger one of the neighbors used the throttle cable as a cruise control. Of course, in a lot of up/down country it wouldn't be much use, but out in the flatlands I guess it would work OK.

I used a Dakota digital unit in my 65, and it works great. Very easy install, and very reliable.
