1 inch 3 inch drop
I ordered a set of one inch front drop coils for my 65 c10. I was thinking about 3 inch drop in the rear. Does any one have picture of a 64-66 with this drop?

Re: 1 inch 3 inch drop
Here's mine. Its got 2" drop rear coils and a 1" axle block. The front is about 1.5" drop. I like it because it's not really too noticeable so it jives well with the stock-ish look that i have going on. Also I can still slide right under it for impromptu repairs. The drop in the front came unexpectedly. You can read about it here... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=586664

Re: 1 inch 3 inch drop
Here is mine. 3 inch drop springs in back with 1 inch drop springs in front. However I had to cut about 1/2 coil off of the front springs because it didn't really drop it enough. I think I ended up about 2 inches of drop in the front, if I remember correctly. I like it. It's just low enough for me. Of course your results may vary.

Re: 1 inch 3 inch drop
I'm trying a 3 3 drop on my truck but right now I am fighting other things at the moment.

Re: 1 inch 3 inch drop
One thing to consider is have your original front springs sagged a bit over 40+ years? If you put brand new 1" drop springs in it might sit the same height as you have now?

Re: 1 inch 3 inch drop
Or.... It could even raise it vs where it currently sits.

Re: 1 inch 3 inch drop
Yep. That's why I had to cut my 1 inch drop springs. If I was doing it again I would do the back first, then see what was needed in the front.
Thanks for the compliment Dave. |
