C30 Chinook - How heavy?
Picking up a 71 C30 chinook motorhome that's too heavy for my trailer so I'm going to have to rent one - any idea how much they weigh? Best guess I found on the forum was 6000-7500 pounds
157" WB, DRW, hopefully the camper isn't waterlogged. Will post pictures once it's home this weekend! |

Re: C30 Chinook - How heavy?
Unless it's been removed there should be a data plate either in the cab area or possibly in the coach area itself with weights. Required by DOT so should be there somewhere unless someone removed it.

Re: C30 Chinook - How heavy?
I have a 69 GMC 30 dually that had a class B on it.....sucker was heavy. I think it just about maxed out the GVW. Truck originally had NO parking gear and an HO72 rear. Really nicely optioned out camper though. I ended up cutting the motor home off the frame----the amount of decay and rot made it too involved to restore. I now have a 10' long flatbed after cutting 2 feet off the end of the frame rails
ooops...so to answer your question my estimate would about 4-5k just for the MH part Last edited by kwmech; 03-01-2021 at 07:37 PM. |

Re: C30 Chinook - How heavy?
Man Oregon green and Virginia green look a lot a like. I’ve seen a few like that in my life.
