What Lokar Pedals are best for 58

Hey all

I will be changing to a Lokar floor mount eliminator style pedal (FMG-6098) and was just wondering what pedal other people are using for the brake on the 58 Apaches.

They dont specifically list anything but there are a few that should work. Being in New Zealand, i just dont want to get it wrong is all.

Best options I have found (in no particular order) are the
* BAG-6076
* BAG-6141
* BAG-6091

Has anyone tried any of these before or is there a better option..

Cheers

I have the eliminator gas pedal in 58 TRUK. it's not the best option for 55-59 trucks. The firewall is to angled for it to work well. It works, just not well.

Ogre
How far into your build thread before one finds some pics?
Did you use a brake pedal cover too, if so which one?

I used the “Lakester” pedal, if I was going to do it again I’d probably use one of their floor mounted pedals.

I have a '56 and went with Lokar BAG-6165 (71-71 C10). Works great.

I think the lokar eliminator pedal feels good and looks good, I know orge feels different.( you can make a wedge to get the angle you like) I maintained the same angle as stock. I looked at a ton before I settled on lokar, in my humble opinion I think lokar has a excellent look and quality . Clayton machine works now has some new looking throttle and pedal assemblies look REALLY nice but its not cheap

Re: What Lokar Pedals are best for 58

imo, bosco's pedal would work best in TF trucks. i like the look of the eliminator pedal, it just fits wrong. look at slammed57's pic, the pedal is almost vertical. my foot only contacts the top edge, if you adjust it down, you loose wot and kickdown of the aod. i did make a spacer to get it out of the carpet. it's just uncomfortable for long trips

this pic is pre-roadworthy. to get wot (wide open throttle) and for the kickdown to work, i had to adjust it vertical. i think the arm under the floor is too short, it needs to be longer for more throttle pull. i think it's designed for flatter floors.

the photosuck fiasco sort of messed up my thread. i need to get a temporary god mode to upload new pics
