Wondering if a stock steering wheel from a 60-66 chevy truck will fit my 72 c10??

If it does, any pictures?

Re: 60-66 steering wheel on 72??

Mine is from a 62-65 Chevy II car. I have since found out they used the same wheel on the 66 truck, the only year truck to use this wheel.

I'm a fan of 2-spoke steering wheels.

Exactly what I needed to see!! Thanks

That's the route we will be going as I prefer something with a little patina to go with the truck.

Any major obstacles on the install?

No obstacles on install, it just fits. The problem I found is for some reason 99% of used steering wheels for sale don't have the horn pieces or horn cap. You can get that stuff for 69-72 but I'm not sure if it's easily available for 66-68. So I shopped for a long time before I found a steering wheel that had those parts included.

This was a chevy nova wheel. I bought the GMC horn cap and it fit the nova blow ring. Looks identical stripped down as a 60's truck wheel. Putting this in a 70.

That is fantastic. Did you find it already having the horn components, or did you figure out what to buy for reproduction parts?

I bought this truck as a basket case half apart. Lot of extra old used parts in boxes. I couldn't get the horn blow ring to move, it was like solid mounted. Finally figured out there is two different length horn cap mounts long or short. Changed the horn cap over with a used one that came in the parts with the truck. I can't remember which i used now but the blow ring moves now when you push on it. Still not in truck but getting closer.

Re: 60-66 steering wheel on 72??

Thank you all again for the comments/advice. I was able to find a steering wheel at a local show/swap and it makes a huge difference. Before and after pics attached getting rid of the 90's truck wheel to a 64 C10.
