1950 Chevy 3600 Woody R
This one comes to us from Chattinuga Tennessee. It’s a 52 3600 which we are converting to a shortbed. The owner wants the Ole Sarge touch. We’ll be painting it patina'd Robbins Egg Blue with a darker matte blue interior. We will be doing AC, full interior, stereo, 5.3/4L60E, S10 frame, a Nova rear end, custom gauges, column, and a Custom steering wheel

The owner wants a primo job, so we’ll be taking our time on this one, and here’s a link to the video of us unloading it https://www.facebook.com/10635701173...51047129662999

Re: 1950 Chevy 3600 Woody R
,Man what a fight! Every bolt is near impossible! We’ve had to cut well more than half the bolts!
But the cab is about ready to come off.

the owner gave the go ahead on the eyebrows, so today we welded them in. Updates later.

Re: 1950 Chevy 3600 Woody R
We welded the eyebrows on today. The beadroll on the passenger one was off, so we flattened it and started over. We actually spent quite a bit of time just staring at it, making minuscule adjustments to make it perfect before we welded it.

Re: 1950 Chevy 3600 Woody R
Then we figured we’re better mock up the AC and do the welding before we do any filling! What you see is not your Vintage Air, it’s my mock up case (a case with no guts for making your brackets and making sure things fit)
Tomorrow we hope to get the column in and brake booster. We’re hoping to get the interior in primer next week.

Re: 1950 Chevy 3600 Woody R
Started out by cutting that tab off the pedal assembly
Then we mocked up the column and fabbed up the brackets, tacking everything in Tomorrow we’ll seam weld, then the column goes back in the box until after paint

Then we decided to tackle smoothing the firewall
After straightening some metal I think it came out pretty good!
