New future daily driver
Just picked this 89 up the other day for 700 bucks. Has a 5.7 in it and the interior is pretty nice. The trans doesn't feel like going forward anymore and the paint is pretty rough. I'm having concrete work done so I can't get it in the shop for a couple weeks. The plan is to rebuild the trans, put a new bed on, start cleaning up the wiring, lower it, wheels and tires then paint. Next spring if gas prices arent 7 bucks a gallon it will be my daily.

Love this, a nice score. Is there body damage, hence the need to replace the bed?

Re: New future daily driver
There is a ding in the bed and the metal is stretched. I figure its cheaper to get a new bed then it would be to have it fixed. I'm not a body guy so paying someone to fix it will cost a but. I found a perfect bed for 250 bucks and since the truck needs paint anyway the new green bed will be painted.
