1968 K10 rebuild #3

I Bought this truck about 7 years ago and it has been through a few stages. First it was lifted with 31s,
TH350, SBC 35 and had some rust. I fixed all the rust and painted it back to white. drove it like this for years

Day I Picked it up

second redo of the truck was a NV4500 and 4BT cummins swap. this can be seen at the following thread link.

I drove it like this fo a few years and decided to go back to V8 gas power. I blew up the trans on the way
back from picking up the replacement motor and ended up deploying for a year. it sat broken for almost 4 years.

Just curious, what is the purpose of the board full of nails facing up? (other than to cause a need for a tetanous shot....lol)

1st, thank you for your service. Good looking truck especially at the new length. Just curious about your gear ratios going from such a low end high torque setup to a 383 high end torque platform. Where do you think you will end up?

It had 373 in it with the 33's and 4BT cummins. the new gears are with the 40 inch tall tires are 5.13. with the NV4500 5speed it should have good low end and highway speeds.

Re: 1968 K10 rebuild #3

one thing that happened over the last few years of outdoor storage was a windstorm throwing
the stock hood about 200 feet from the truck. I am going to try and fix this.
