It’s been a long time coming
I let life and family put this truck on hold for way too long . Not complaining at all . Life and family have been a great thing to be busy with . Both sons are grown now and out of college. We put both sons through A&M and they graduated with no student debt so I haven’t really had extra funds over the last 6 years . I paid the last tuition payment when my youngest graduated from Texas A&M in December so I will be making this truck what I’ve wanted it to be for years. My oldest son wanted to drive away from his wedding in it so that will happen this weekend. We put it together kinda quick so it will get lots of things changed but for now it’s just running and driving to look the part. It’s a 2007 6.0 and 4L80 with hooker headers, motor mounts and crossmember. TSP 224R on a 114lsa so it’s not real rowdy. Dual 3” with Flowmaster Supe 50’s running out the rear turned down at the bumper . Can’t really see it at all . I have always liked to hide the exhaust.

Re: It’s been a long time coming
Thanks ,
Its original paint and was dropped in the 1980's so its a bit crude but for now its fine. Actually rides better than i thought it would .

Re: It’s been a long time coming
Awesome story and an awesome truck. I have a similar story about my shortbed fleetside. 15 years ago I was going balls to the wall on getting mine done. I ended up buying my first house and the truck took a back seat. I always kept it in the garage and 12-13 years later, a different house im trying to improves, a vacation house I’m doing a complete gut and rebuild on, twin 2 year old boys, and just general life stuff the truck still sits in the garage. I always keep hope and know one day life will slow down and I’ll be able to finish it. My only other problem now is I also have another square body and two k5 blazers to do the same to lol

Re: It’s been a long time coming
Great truck and long term is just a thing. When you are a Chevy truck guy at heart you know it will happen. When they can only sit while you take care of other matters they are still there to be part of your life. You know you will get to it.
