03 Silverado Driver Window Switch part#

My 80 year old dad's '03 Silverado driver window switch has gone out. Would anyone happen to know off hand what the part# is. His truck is an extended cab, but NOT the Tahoe or Suburban. I haven't been in the truck for a while and I don't remember what the switch looks like there on the armrest/door panel. Thanks, friends.

Re: 03 Silverado Driver Window Switch part#

Assume it's the LH door (Driver) switches.
Crew or Extended/regular cab? Crew will have rear window switches.

The other two options are the side mirrors. The mirror wiring differs. It matters what it came with not what it has now. Power folding could've been replaced with regular in the last two decades. Same goes for auto-dimming glass.
Power folding mirrors?
Auto-dimming mirrors?
Neither?

Re: 03 Silverado Driver Window Switch part#

Thanks hatzie. We took it apart today. Part # is 15181222. I have found some used ones out of wrecking yards for around $100. O’Reilly has one in stock for $218. The part has Motorola stamped in the plastic base. O’Reilly part was a Dorman.

Anyone know where they can lay their hands on one, please let me know. $218 seems a bit high for the part, and $100 for used w/no returns don’t seem just right either.

Re: 03 Silverado Driver Window Switch part#

Took it to a friend who works at a body shop. He said it could be the switch, window motor, or even a broken wire in the door somewhere. They're gonna diagnose it for me and call me. Thanks guys for your help.

Re: 03 Silverado Driver Window Switch part#

While this topic is up and OP seemingly found what they needed, I hope you don't mind a quick hijack. I just swapped out my DL8 mirrors (power adjust & heat) to a set of DL3 mirrors (power adjust, heat, puddle lamps, and power folding) on my '03 crew. Does anyone know what master switch I need to make the power folding work?

Re: 03 Silverado Driver Window Switch part#

It's loads of fun but it can be done.
You need the DL3 driver side switch module with the lighted mirror icon in the centre and the matching passenger door switch module.
Then you get to program the DDM (driver door module) and the BCM.

Here's a thread on the Avalanche fans forum.
https://www.chevyavalanchefanclub.co.../#post-2191998

I have the darn things and I have to say past the novelty in the first couple weeks I had the truck I haven't used the feature.

Re: 03 Silverado Driver Window Switch part#

Well that's interesting. I had read on another forum it should be plug and play. Not sure I want to deal with all that business. Thanks!

It might be. Never having done it myself I can't say.
Depends on whether the BCM will listen to the commands from the DL3 Driver Door switches.
