TA bushings
installed brand new bushings and trying to get my TA's back in with the anti squat brackets and they look to be about 1/4" too wide. anyone have this problem..and can they be shaved down to fit? lined them up with the stock brackets and same problem.

Re: TA bushings
I'll take some pics of the last set-up I did w/Poly bushings. I still have the arms for mock-up use so they might provide some insight. It will probably be sometime after the lunch hours tomorrow to get some pics up & the discussin started.

Re: TA bushings
ok no problem. supposed to be getting some rain the next few days so I probably can't get to the truck u til Wednesday. you can see in the 1st pic the "lip" I'm thinking I can trim down flush? the last pic shows how much more it sticks out than the other side

Re: TA bushings
had some time to get it at it today and ended up trimming that side down...it was the only way and it's still a tight fit. I trimmed the outside rubber until it was flush with the center metal bushing

Re: TA bushings
but after getting all the rear suspension bolted back with new bags...it seems the axle shifted backwards (angled up). the only thing I replaced differently than what I had was anti squat brackets..but I set them at the bottom hole which is supposed to be stock degree.
so frustrating...truck looks great slammed and although haven't tested my pinion angles, the way it sits now seems like the old driveshaft won't even fit.

Re: TA bushings
Took me longer than expected because these were buried under sheet metal brought into the shop when I moved out of a storage unit a couple years ago.
These are Energy Suspension poly bushings despite their appearance. Both sides appear relatively flush on my set-up. I have a T/A x-member on a cart so I checked the fit. It's possible the mounts were opened slightly @ some point but I don't remember a specifically doing it. Note the condition (appearance) of the bushings. These were put into service probably around late '98 or early '99 & the truck was off the road by '05. They feel like freakin' concrete. I had to run these because I had things apart & couldn't find rubber replacements @ the time. This is why I only like the OE style rubber or a spherical type of joint @ this position.
