'82 C10 Rotor question

I have a '82 C10 short bed 2wd. I plan on lowering it and eventually replacing the 305 with a 454. This truck has the 1" rotors, would it be a good idea to change to the 1 1/4" rotors since I will be changing the spindles? The brake pads are new and the calipers are reman, replaced less than 500 miles ago.
Thanks,
Mark

Re: '82 C10 Rotor question

Thanks, that answered all my questions. I'll probably just stay with the 1" rotors as I won't be towing or hauling, just cruising.
