Evan's 1979 C10 LWB
I've had my other project truck torn to pieces in my garage for a few (6 ) years now. In the summer of 2020 I got the itch to find something I could drive (anything to avoid actual work on the project).
Here are the pictures from the classified ad:

Re: Evan's 1979 C10 LWB
I found a folding bench in decent shape. The original had really cool upholstery but it was in terrible shape on the driver side and it was a fixed back version. Need the folding back for a place to keep a half empty jug of washer fluid, a half empty quart of oil, etc.
The floor was looking solid too.

Thanks. I picked up one of those tach conversion kits after I saw yours. Not sure when I'll get to installing it but I'm looking forward to it.

Re: Evan's 1979 C10 LWB
I get a kick out of the mud flaps dragging on the ground. I'll have to trim them to avoid kicking rocks up at people but for now it makes me smile.
This bring things up to date. Next up is swapping the 305 for a 350 my friend and I built about 15 years ago. We just gave it a Vice Grip Garage "full rebuild". tsssst tssssssssst

Re: Evan's 1979 C10 LWB
Looking good. What tire size did you go with? I'll bet that paint would come back quite a bit, looks like it already has, some. Recent engine"rebuild" looks "factree".

Yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing what a little paint correction will do to it.

Here's the first clip after the motor swap. The idle's a little high but it sounds promising!

And another one. He's not much of a videographer. Good mechanic though.
