Dummy Filler Neck for 60-66 Trucks with Removed In-Cab Fuel Tank

***duallyjams gets first dibs***

This is a blank filler neck that fills the hole left behind in the cab when the stock tank is eliminated, allowing you to retain the original look, and avoids the need to patch and repaint the cab.

Included in the kit:

-Filler neck, shortened, 2-1/4" diameter, with integrated backing plate
-Cab grommet

Note: you will need to provide your own gas cap, such as Stant 10623 available at O'Reilly for $9.

$110 shipped

Installation instructions:

1) Install the included grommet in the cab hole. Align the bump on the grommet with the notch at the bottom of the cab hole.

2) Press the dummy filler neck through the grommet from inside the cab. Pay attention to the slant of the dummy filler neck. It slants toward the front of the cab.

3) There is a lip on the I.D. of the grommet that must be tucked inward, as follows:
a. Spray soapy water onto grommet
b. Insert a small round tool (preferably made of plastic) gently between the grommet and the filler neck
c. Use a second similar tool to tuck the lip inward. Work your way all the way around the filler neck until the lip is tucked in all the way around. Apply pressure to the back of the filler neck to relieve pressure from the lip while tucking it in. Be careful not to scratch the paint.
