What's the best 8" lift for a 71 blazer
I have a friend looking for an 8 inch lift for a 71 blazer, he can find them for 73 up but nothing for a first gen. He would prefer all spring if they are still available.

Re: What's the best 8" lift for a 71 blazer
The best would be springs from Deaver, Atlas or Alcan. IMO no comparison to the production kits, though end cost of all components may be almost double the "kit". At this point in time I believe Skyjacker is the only cheaper off the shelf kit. Would need to look for K10. Rear lift height may need to be adjusted as the Blazer is heavier in the back.
ORD may have something, but they just have springs made for them. In the end not any less than ordering yourself. And they will not make rear springs over 4" for some reason. Anything over that and they insist you use their rear shackle flip.

Re: What's the best 8" lift for a 71 blazer
Just came to say the same thing. I'd go Alcan again if i were to buy lift springs for my first gen.
My 6" lift springs ride nice - I'd also recommend your friend do a shackle flip in the rear with 4" lift springs to make 8" lift. |
