Re: License plate

So, is the gold or red white and blue period correct?

Re: License plate

The plate for 72 is red white and blue and has “Building a better way to see the USA”. The USA-1 plate has a history dating to the 50s and the style posted above wasn’t used until the square body era - maybe 76? - and the early examples were steel not aluminum.

Re: License plate

Just want to throw these plates in the mix, " USA-1 " with " Chevrolet " stamped below. Bought these at an auction last year and had never seen them before. Did a little on line Google search and found they were originally offered in 1957 by Chevrolet and were know as " booster plates ". Steel plates which are standard size with today's plates. Kept one for my 57 and sold the other three on a tri-five board I am on. Bit of an intersting read if one cares to Google search these plates. I kept the black with white lettering for my 57 front bumper.
