Door Glass Woes, any help would be appreciated.

Hey fellas, so i am curious if any of you fellas have a solution for me. the channel that the door glass sits in that rides the regulator up is all rusted to hell on my truck and no longer fits between the window scrapers i replaced (old ones were destroyed). so now my windows dont close all the way, they get hung up. i would like to know if there is a part i can order to replace the trays in both doors, i can find regulators but they dont seem to have the bar the glass sits in. does the glass come with it or something?

Unfortunately the problem usually has more to do with the re-pop beltline window fuzzies than the glass track. It's an ongoing problem but there are claims that good ones do exist. https://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vbo...d.php?t=781815

I think most of the problem of windows not fully closing is the window scrapers / fuzzies not allowing the window tray to move past them. There are multiple posts suggesting different brands of fuzzies, but I have not seen one that works for everyone. The other solutions I have seen include installing the glass a little higher in the bottom support tray or using taller glass. Another option I have seen is to bend the window channels "open" to allow the glass supports to move past the fuzzies. Full disclosure - my windows don't go up all the way either.

I found that the clips on the fuzzy scrapers are installed from the factory upside down. That makes them sit lower in the door. The window channel the glass sits in hits it and prevents the glass from rolling all the way up. I talked to Steele Rubber about this and they agree the clips are upside down but since they don’t manufacture this part no refund. I removed them and pried the clips off and rtv’d the part onto the door where they are supposed to sit and now the windows roll all the way up.

I rolled the window partway up and applied the rtv trim adhesive and positioned the part and used wood shims to keep them pressed firmly against the door. Then used a rag with solvent to clean up squeeze out. Worked great.
