Floor Jack recommendations and suggestions
I am looking for a recommendation for a low profile floor Jack. I am not sure if I need a 3 ton or a 2 ton. It’s for a 62 c10 with a 350. It doesn’t matter to me if it’s aluminum or steel. The one I have now I bought 20 years ago from autozone and is a 3 ton but it stopped working today.

Re: Floor Jack recommendations and suggestions
I've been thinking about getting a new jack. The old one is getting weak. I'm interested to read the responses here.

Re: Floor Jack recommendations and suggestions
I bought the Harbor Freight Low Profile 3 ton. Been using it for at least 5 years. No problems with it fitting under the Wife's 2014 Cadillac ATS. Also has enough lift to work on my 69 and 02 trucks.

Re: Floor Jack recommendations and suggestions
I was looking at the Blackline by Arcan from northern tool and they wanted around $45 for shipping. I would like to find something that did not have to be shipped. The closest Northern Tool is over 100 miles away.

I too have a Harbor Freight jack 3ton. They should have the low profile on sale for Black Friday if you can wait.

Re: Floor Jack recommendations and suggestions
I found a Torin brand 3 ton low profile on clearance at Walmart. So far has done the job on my CUCV.
I would go with 3 ton over 2 ton. Especially if you plan on lifting the front of that C20. Most of the weight of a truck is in the front. Do you really want to be pushing the limits on a jack? Go with 6 ton floor stands for the same reason. |

Re: Floor Jack recommendations and suggestions
I ended up getting the harbor freight Daytona Super duty low profile 3 ton jack.
It will be nice to have a low profile Jack my old jack would not fit under the front crossmember so I had to drive over a piece of wood with one tire just to get the car high enough to get the jack underneath. Thanks for all the recommendations |

Re: Floor Jack recommendations and suggestions
I also ended up buying the HF Daytona 3 ton extended reach low-profile jack. It's a beast, but it lifts over 24".

Re: Floor Jack recommendations and suggestions
So far I like it. It is vary heavy. It does seem like it takes more effort than my old jack but the low profile and the wider wheels are quite nice.
