2wd body on 4wd chassis

i picked up my trans and transfer case on Sunday for my 86, and i have located a 79 3/4 ton 4x4 rolling chassis. its just a matter of coming up with the money for the chassis, and going to get it. what is it going to take to make the 86 floor pan work with the transfer case shifter? i seem to remember this topic coming up a long time ago at CT, where someone was doing it, but i cant remember waht the suggestion was. BTW, the trans is a TH350, backed by an NP203 (will get a 205 and a doubler in the future.)

Get the bolt-in pan out of the 4x4 donor and cut a hole for it to bolt to in yours.

that's it? then what do i do for a floor covering? i'd like a rubber mat instead of the carpet that's in there now, because i dont think carpet would fare too well with muddy boots/shoes.

Yep, the only different from 2wd to 4wd is the tranny hump. It is lower on the 2WD.

As for the floor covering, how about Rhino Lining? For cheaper, you could get a rubber mat for http://www.accmats.com. I can get one for ya too (not on the website...yet)
