Scrappy's 69
Removed the bed from my truck today and set it on the cart I built. Ready to start work now. Will be replacing the trailing arm cross member, trailing arms, installing 4/6 drop kit with c-notch, total rebuild of the rear drums, front disc conversion along with tubular control arms and total rebuild of the front end. Wish me luck.

Re: Scrappy's 69
Sounds like you are poised for progress. Good luck! Mine still waits, but I am working on clearing off the frame of the lumber I've had stashed on it behind the cab, in preparation of assembling the bed to let it sit where it belongs.

Re: Scrappy's 69
Making nice progress. I used my stand, like yours, for the bed and cab holder.

Re: Scrappy's 69
Awesome! I plan on hanging onto mine for later projects on my truck. It makes it so much easier being able to move it around by yourself and not worrying about it tipping over.

Re: Scrappy's 69
Yeah, all I did was extra 2x4s layer across for front and rear cab mount areas. If I remember I hD to dou le the 2x4 for the reR mount area. It worked good for my cab repairs

Re: Scrappy's 69
Making progress on my truck. Have the frame painted and all of the new suspension installed. Noticed the left side if 1/2" higher then the right side. I measured from the flat spot on the trailing arms to the frame and it appears it's in the left side spring. What could be causing that?

Re: Scrappy's 69
Swap springs, bounce it up and down and measure again. Unbolt the trailing arm first.
Also check your lift block seating and while you have the springs out measure them too. Could be a weak shock, although your using new parts you have to check them out carefully as mfg standards are inconsistent at best. I noticed you don't have an adjustable trailing arm, you'll probably need one. Their cheap enough. Eliminate one thing at a time, you'll find it.

Re: Scrappy's 69
Thanks for the info RenoKeene. I do have a new double adjustable trac arm, just haven't installed it yet. I thought maybe the stock one was holding that side up but it wasn't.

Re: Scrappy's 69
Finished up the rear frame and suspension. Have the wheel base and centerline set and locked down. Moving on to the rear brakes.
