Re: 71 big block power steering tank mounting question
Some have extension bracket on reservoir. Is there a year by year location, or can there be differences by plant?

68 had the extension. I "think" they were all mounted as pictured, even with the extension.

Re: 71 big block power steering tank mounting question
Correct no BBC in 67, I built a 67 BBC to look like a factory install. As everyone knows, 67 frames are wider (each rail) than 68s which are narrowed to accommodate the new 396 option.

Re: 71 big block power steering tank mounting question
Is a 72 the same? I don’t know if these pics help.
Oh sorry. Never mind. You meant the reservoir on the fender

Re: 71 big block power steering tank mounting question
Is there a published 67-72 guide with all the options, unique characteristics, and rare configurations? Or a guide judges use for shows?

Re: 71 big block power steering tank mounting question
I am putting together a 396 with all the original brackets on my 68. I have a reservoir but don't know exactly what year it is. Did the 68 PS reservoir mount on the radiator support?

Re: 71 big block power steering tank mounting question
I am piecing everything together to do a factory restoration on my big block 68 someday too. Pretty much have all the accessory stuff. But what I’m missing is photos of how everything goes (like the PS res). Would be great to see how yours turns out.

Re: 71 big block power steering tank mounting question
It's news to me they now reproduce the late style reservoir.
