Horn wiring

Finally getting around to fixing some odds and ends.

I’ve seen conflicting stuff. So on drivers side next to radiator horn is there with two green wires not hooked up to anything. But there is a relay of sorts that has wires going from it. Truck also has really under the dash, plus an extra?

Where should horn wires be?

I’ve attached some pictures. All lights work, turn signals work, but don’t cancel, have a new switch coming. Horn doesn’t work.

Will be installing a kick down switch on pedal bracket. I’m assuming that’s easy? Hot wire and then one to tranny?

Re: Horn wiring

your 1st pic with the green wire looks like the jumper wire for dual horns and connects the 2 together. the relay above it is the voltage regulator for the alternator, nothing to do with the horn. 2nd pic, one of them is the horn relay but I don't remember which one. The horns themselves go bad, I would unplug the existing one and test it with a 12v hotwire to see if it actually works before digging to deep.

Re: Horn wiring

the black wire on the horn relay ends up at the horn button, there it simply grounds the rely to sound the horn. the red is +12v...the green goes out to the horns.
