Block id for a 350 sbc crate motor
Having trouble pinpointing the year. Help?
Block #10066036 all I get from this is “Hecho in Mexico" Front#behind alternator (block stamp) is 2M10215VP |

for the 10066036 i am finding its a gm crate motor 350 4 bolt main motor 2 pc main seal
yhr 2 im guessing is for gm not necessarially chevrolet which should be a 1 M is for Mexico assembly the 10215 is part of the part number as this was a crate engine sold seperate of a car/truck and the VPdoesnt seem to come up in the research i did im wondering if its something with the building of the block

Couple that I have:
2M0116 / 7VP Replacement motor pulled from a Suburban about 2000. 1M0325 / 6VP Crate motor purchased mid 90's Both are the 190HP 4 bolt 350 sold with complete tin. Maybe the digit in front of the VP is the year made for that decade? |
