250 ps setup

I’m looking at a 1981 250 with power steering right now. Is it useful? Would this fit on a 292? At the junkyard right now and the search function on my phone is not working great.

Sorry did not mean to post this one here mods please move if necessary.

Re: 250 ps setup

No, a 292 needs its own bracket no matter what. Very rare to find.

To add, a 79 250 bracket won't fit the earlier 250's with the regular head.

Re: 250 ps setup

P.S. for 292 is near impossible to find. I used 250 pieces that I modified to fit the taller engine. Don't look for just the trucks. Many inline sixes were used in all GM cars through the '70s.

If that 4.1 Pulsar Emission engine still has the HEI, you can use that. Otherwise, ignore it. Actually, the 230, 250 and 292 heads will bolt onto that block.
The 4.1 was how the integrated head 250 engine was referred to after '78.

If you find one of these rare Brackets,

Would you consider?
Sharing the Dimensions with the Machinists that are on the forum?

Maybe someone can make a Print and reproduce this part.
