Paint AC Heater duct
I'd like to get opinions on this. Before I put in my orange carpet and orange plaid seats, I need to decide on keeping the AC/heater ducts black or painting them orange.
I looked through google images for ducts painted to match the dash or carpet and didn't see anything? I feel like it would look better than black ducts. Here's a pick of my black ducts.

You got a whole lot of orange going on there....
Keep the heater duct black.

Re: Paint AC Heater duct
I am doing black on my truck and would do the same with your color. That being said. It is your truck and you should make it like you want.

Re: Paint AC Heater duct
Contrast is not usually a bad thing. Leave them black or dark grey.

Re: Paint AC Heater duct
The civic comment rings true.
What amount of orange is too much for you? Orange portawalls on the tires, orange frame, matching orange exhaust? Orange window tint? Do all of those orange pigments actually match, or is it 13 different orange shades being passed off as matching? I'm not saying this to be demeaning in any way. Sometimes it helps to visualize too far, too much, etc. so you then have limits. I think a slick custom build with foresight, planning, and execution could look good A stocker with a few custom parts and color matched stock items gives off an amateur tuner look |

Re: Paint AC Heater duct
It doesn't have to be my favorite, but you're also showing a blue stock interior while asking for opinions on custom colored orange vents
However, The original blue defrost vents and blue painted black vents in my truck look hammered and way off color, compared to the rest of my blue/black interior. |

Re: Paint AC Heater duct
Looks great to me. Now if the trim on the doors and under dash vents were blue as well. Add in a blue dash bezel as well. Yuck! Glad you like it, but not for me.

Re: Paint AC Heater duct
less noticeable in black. If you're dead set on orange down there, I suppose you could fab up a shield and paint/carpet that instead, but it'd look more like a van then.

Re: Paint AC Heater duct
Having contrast is a good thing.
Being that most of your interior color will be orange, having the heater duct black will go with the black instrument panel. It’s a little bit of black, not a lot.
