Spindle/Hub problem???? HELP!!! - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Well after about 5 stores, 8 tries and 8 hours I still have a problem with finding inner bearing for my 69 C10 1/2 ton truck..........that is.......the truck is a 69. I think the spindles and hubs are from Twlight Zone.
Does anyone have a 69 truck down to where you could shoot a pic of the spindle and hub? And maybe measure the spindle for me? The high (wide) point on the spindle I have is almost 1 1/4" wide.
Also, does anyone have a 69.....true 69 set of spindles and hubs for sale? If so send price.
I really apprecate any help I can get.

Oh....and not I did not keep the original bearing..........I never do that but somehow did this time

This seems odd, I have had problems with bearings in the past, the 69 GMC was eating them up like nothing. (I later figured it was the hub)
But anyways, I was getting bearings from all the local parts stores, and everyone fit fine.
I went to NAPA, auto Zone, Hi-Lo, (since bought out by O'rieleys) Even a pep boy set of rollers.

Later, after I fried my hub AND spindle, I was sitting in a junk yard looking at a few trucks to rob for parts, and I swear the 68 - 70 stuff was exactly the same. (Never saw a 67 in the yards down there in Tx)

Thanks Longhorn Man. I don't know what I have. THe guy that had this truck lowered it then put it back to stock. When I look in parts catalogs my spindles don't look like what I have. One guy said he thought it was 4x4 blazer hubs on it. I guess I am going to have to take my springs back out and install original spindles once I find them........I hate that too because I hate loaded springs.

Well, you could always remove a spindle and take it along with a hub to NAPA. They would have the micrometers and stuff, along with a couple old school parts guys that remember how to use the books instead of the computers.
Once you figure out what it is you need, make a note of it in your records as to what p/n and brand you need for future replacements or to let the next owner know upon selling.
