OT - Who was needing another project?
This would be sweet, but I'd have to give up my
truck or one of my other projects. Aren't 5 windows somewhat rare? I saw this thing 3 blocks from my house for the first time yesterday. I was taking my mountain bike over to go riding and took a different route cause of Saturday traffic. If you're relitively serious, I'd put you in contact with the owner. It's located in Tulsa - price on the sign is $1800

I'm guessing you meant to post a picture?
Post doesn't really make a ton of sense otherwise. I need more projects, problem is affording them! Scout is currently delegated to "project" status for at least a few more weeks The '70 is a driving project... and the panel truck is a whole nother can of worms in itself... it's every other project I've tackled before all rolled into one and then some... |

The server keeps closing the connection before
the pic uploads. I seem to have to reboot after each pic. Might be my computer, it's older than my truck - in computer years.

The uneven gap between the cab and bed caught my attention, but I'm
not familiar with these

I thought it look pretty good and mostly original
for what I know about them (which isn't much) There is some rust. I didn't see any rust holes, but didn't look it over like I would if I was buying it. It has competition one street over - (with even more rust)

I've got to sign off for a few hours. I didn't get any info on the yellow one with the '72 grill. I seriously don't think you'd come from TX for that truck. But I am curious about it too, so I'll find out.
Frenchblue, I take it there is quite a story behind that one you got out of OK?

The oldtimer is a 54 with a 6 cylinder according to the sign.
337, the "Yellow dog" 72 doesn't have a price or any info listed other than the phone #. I'll send it to you in a private message since you asked. I'll tell you everything that caught my attention about it. The doors and sills are definitely rusted - as in needing replacement. No AC, but it does have 350 emblems. Pretty beat up, does have a tool box though. I'd think you could find better locally? Original steering wheel in dire need of replacement. Whatever the price is, that huge mirror has got to be worth the price of the truck. It looks photoshopped on.

From your description, I think i do have "yellow dog" beat locally.
I'd be willing to drive to south OK(got friends to shack up with in dallas) for a good, straight truck. But not north OK for some that'll need some good body work. Thanks for the info. |

50's trucks are cool and a fun project. You have to do some substantial work to them if you want to make them somewhat comfortable though, like clipping the front end, upgrading the heating systems, etc. My brother, dad and I did a 1950 3 window and my dad had a 1951 5 window that he recently traded for a resto job on his 1972 El Camino. Here's some pics of the 50.

That '50 is sweet! Is the front suspension modified?
I see alot of those early hot rod trucks get those mustang II setups among other popular upgrades. That '54 would cut into my '69's budget too much.
