3 winches?

Let's see, 1 on the front bumper and 1 on each side door so you can get in the cab!

approach angle is an imaginary line between the front of the front tire and the bottom of the bumper. the bigger the angle, the steeper the hill you can climb. the departure angle is a libe betwen the back of the back tire, and the back bumper.those bumpers stick out so far, i bet he drags them all the time.

Ohh so thats why them super big bumpers in 4wd magazines are kinda angled to the back that makes sense .. Dont have much montain climbing around here he mainly uses that to pull People out in the muck and mud .. and to play around with

He dont have a computer or anything

Just email me and ill ask him

It was basicaly an entire harness swap from the 87 he got an 87 silverado that was rolled,,, and swapped the entire harness over to the blazer Wasnt really difficult But some folks are more technically inclined than others as long as you have a parts truck to look at its pretty much plug everything back in the same spot and maybe add a few here and there things like a o2 sensor and possibly a electric ext mount fuel pump since the truck pump is in the tank and the tank is different than a blazer

yea, that was what I was going to ask, how many O2 sensors he had & if he has single exhaust or headers & I thought that inj sys would only support a engine cubic inch close to the factory (350) not up to 400 ? I've got a 400 sb & was told the factory TBI wouldn't support that size of engine ! Thanx for the info also .

I think the only problem with the 350 TBI system would be the fuel curve and or the amount of CFM it can flow. The mixture would be fine since it is all controlled by air flow in and fuel mixture ratio sensed by the o2 sensors. I would think the biggest thing you might have to do is have the ECU modified or get an aftermarket unit.

yup, that's exactly what it is. not many people build strictly mud trucks anymore, around here anyways. for a mud truck though, you definitely need a beefy bumper if you're going to be using it to pull yourself or someone else out. makes more sense now that you mention you guys dont have many hills/trails.

He is runnin headers with dual pipes no cats and one O2 sensor.

The computer runs that 400 just fine he is runnin the 350 tbi heads thou and the cam out of the tbi motor but other than that its an old motor home 400

I could be wrong but if im not mistaken they used that same system on v6s and big blocks seems like my friends 87 one ton had the identical inj system just mounted on a 4bbl intake with a differenty type of throttle body bolt pattern.

Everyones entitles to there own opinoin Them bumpers are practical to the owner of the truck but everyones taste is different I personally think it would look better with some ranch hands but i just like the way they look.

dude, just because you dont know how to build anything but a mall poser doesnt mean the rest of us are retards for knowing how to build a trail capable truck. i agree, you do need tow points, and GOOD tow points are mounted to a strong bumper. mall posers and non serious wheelers use those cheezy tow hooks that bolt to the frame with 2 little bolts.

oh, and as for my 2wd "***** mobile" it wont be 2wd for long. if you have been paying attention, within the last 2 weeks i have purchased a trans, transfer case, and a pair of axles for it. my TA you really dont want to mess with.

with your "i hate the bumpers" comment arent you doing the exact same thing that you're *****ing at me for? STFU

There's no reason for name calling on these boards. If you have a problem with someone, that's what the wonderful button labeled "PM" is for.

Use it.

1972C10: That's a nice rig. Looks like a lot of fun!!
