Looking for alternatives
A friend of mine is building a very high end 2wd blazer. He is looking for a source for a plaid upholstery source besides SMS. They ordered from them in November and 5 months later still waiting. I realize SMS products are quality products, 5/6 months wait is beyond crazy.

Re: Looking for alternatives
SMS is the only place. As far as I know they don't sell to wholesalers. They have the plaid fabric manufactured for them. Your friend is likely waiting for the next run to be woven and shipped. We are fortunate to have someplace that is willing to still supply these one year only plaids.

Re: Looking for alternatives
Me too, but I contributed that to a covid mentality. Maybe that's normal. Worth the wait.
Edit: After reading below, I paid SMS to make my seat covers. They did a nice job, just took a long time, about 14 months.

Re: Looking for alternatives
Are you all having to wait for fabric by the yard to be sent to you, or a completed seat cover to be sent?

Re: Looking for alternatives
He is waiting for fabric by the yard. It appears to be a brown/dark saddle and I assume is being woven. I told him I would ask for alternatives as individuals such as Snowden and companies such as TMI are offering plaid variations and was not sure if there were other options that could be explored.
