Dana 44 Tie-Rod connecting link

The center connecting link between the 2 outer tie rods on a Dana 44, is it solid bar or tubing? I am planning on building a custom one with an integrated steering stabilizer mounting point, for my 72 Burb has no provision for it, except using the u bolt clamping set-up. I was planning on using 1.25" cold rolled solid round bar. What are your thoughts on this vs maybe DOM tube. I already have some of the solid bar, but no DOM tube. Thank you in advance

Built my tierod, draglink and panhard rod. Here is a "kit" from the company I got some parts from. https://www.offroaddesign.com/offroa...y-tie-rod.html Stock is a solid bar. I used 1.5" DOM for those bars. 2" DOM for my 4 link bars. No rock crawling in the future for my truck.
