C10 Nationals Texas 2024 (lots of pictures)
.
Attended Saturday and did not get to shoot all the 67-72 trucks there but I got a large number of them. Tried to stay on topic with the pics but there are a few that are oddball things! I may not get them all on this thread right away as it's going to take over 40 posts of 5 images each. There's something for everybody here. Guaranteed you'll not like them all but something will hit home. Enjoy, -Kevin EDIT: All images uploaded.

Re: C10 Nationals Texas 2024
.
I give up. EDIT: no not really EDIT: snipped out now irrelevant words... WTH is going on? Exactly what data does this site use to gather the orientation of an inbound image? It is NOT EXIF(Orientation) so it must be something else. What do I have to do to get these images uploaded correctly? BTW I have successfully uploaded 100s of images to this site in the past without having this issue. Something has changed to cause this. EDIT: A WORKAROUND SOLUTION: Must open each image in an image editing application (paint, irfanview64, etc) and simply save it using File=>Save or something similar. The resulting file will upload correctly on Vbulletin. Make no mistake, it is Vbulletin that is the culprit for ALL of these image upload problems EVERYBODY has at one time or another. The board software is simply too basic to worry about or modify image uploading characteristics. It was all probably written for message boards in the beginning that didn't include images...just text. It is ridiculous and a major pain that Vbulletin does NOT care. They say their software is working as designed...yeah well maybe so but the design is flawed. There are very specific and distinctive Orientation data metrics embedded in each and every image but Vbulletin chooses to ignore these things and do something else, something non standard and something they don't seem to publish. Fortunately, I think I found a way to do this in Batch to any number of files using IrfanView image viewer. Download and install Irfanview: https://www.irfanview.com/main_download_engl.htm Use these instructions to open Irfanview and get into the batch mode and execute a Resize and Save against all images in a given directory on your pc: https://www.ofzenandcomputing.com/ba...ges-irfanview/ This will resize them to a size appropriate for vBullitin and by saving the file will then allow vBullitin to display them correctly. The resize options are: set length and width to 1440 by 1080 pixels. Other options: don't enlarge smaller images, overwrite existing files, use resample function, preserve aspect ratio, apply changes to all pages...you'll also need to edit the output location to your current folder where you want to resize and save every file there. This is all moot if the images you need to "fix" are few. I have nearly 200 this time so doing it manually wasn't an option...had to automate it. -Kevin

Re: C10 Nationals Texas 2024
Thanks for the pictures and taking some of the average trucks too. Most people will pass by the average truck and just take pictures of the show queens!!!!

Yes, slammed, big wheels, and fake patina seems to be the big thing these days.

YW. The pics were posted in the order I shot them. Started with the high end show trucks as they were already setup on display (I did shoot a few on my way to the show truck area). Wanted to give the "regular" trucks a chance to get into the show and setup before I walked through them. -Kevin

Re: C10 Nationals Texas 2024
Thank you very much for the time /effort in posting up the pictures. Some real nice rides and me being the things original guy there were even a few mostly stock Cheyenne Super Trucks which I love. They did a C10 Nationals in Salt Lake last year and some Alberta folks drove down for it ,900 miles, and there is another this year there in June and the Albertans are going again. The distance is reasonable so thinking may do it next year.

Re: C10 Nationals Texas 2024
Thanks for posting!
Looks like lots of eye candy there And yes, I’m also in the camp where I prefer the shade-tree budget build examples over the $100k show queens

Re: C10 Nationals Texas 2024
I'm a fan of the stock or slightly modified restorations. But have to admit that I'm jealous of some of the budgets! And the prices shown in several photos just blow me away. Shoulda coulda woulda bought ten decent trucks ten years ago and parked them in a building. They would have appreciated a lot more than an S&P 500 index mutual fund or even or gold, which is supposed to be a hedge against inflation.
