September 2024 ToTM

For our September 2024 Truck of the Month (ToTM) contest the theme is

So Long

The criteria to be in this month’s contest is:
  • Open to all years and models of long bed and longhorn Trucks (fleetside or stepside).
  • The vehicle nominated needs to belong to a board member during the time of the contest.
  • It must be road worthy and currently legal to be on the road.
  • If a truck was selected as a 2023 or 2024 ToTM winner then you are ineligible. If the truck was nominated but not selected as a ToTM winner then it may be nominated and compete in this month's category.
To Nominate:

You or someone else may nominate the vehicle. The nominee must be a board member and the current owner of the truck. Once you decide on who you wish to nominate, just add your nomination to this thread. We will need two pictures minimum, at least one full view of the vehicle. In addition, we will need the owner’s board name and the Make/Model/Year of vehicle.

Nominations will run through August 24. The first 15 nominees that meet the criteria will participate in the contest We will need two pictures minimum (at least one full view of the vehicle) with/for the nomination as well as the owner’s board name, the Make/Model/Year of vehicle. I will PM the nominees to get any additional data or pictures if they have not already been provided. If the owner has a preferred picture they want used in the contest, please let me know in a PM. You can PM me for an e-mail address in case anyone has problems resizing the pictures for the board. A Poll Thread will be set up August 25 in this board area and an announcement will be posted on the Discussion Boards to notify all that voting has begun. The Poll will run thru the morning of September 1 and the official announcement of the winner will be on the evening of September 1. The announcement of the ToTM winner will be posted through the General Discussion Board area.

Re: September 2024 ToTM

Even though I've been on this site for 10+ years I haven't ever voted or nominated anyone. To be honest I'd like to nominate myself, but to be fair (and considering the fact that there are sooo many trucks on here much nicer than mine) I'd also like to nominate a couple others. Is that possible?

Here's my '93 GMC Sierra. Purchased from the original owner in 2018. It still has the original, non rebuilt, 4.3 and trans, but otherwise has been down to the frame. The 1st pic was taken right after I got it. The 2nd pic was taken in Nov 2012 shortly after the rebuild. The 3rd pic is of the truck bringing home my next project in 2022. The 4th pic was just taken this past weekend at the Hoosier GM truck rally in Lyons, Indiana. And the last is a slightly better pic of the graphics before wet sanding to distress them, and the process of touching up what's left of the original paint. I hope I'm not oversharing or trying too hard.

Re: September 2024 ToTM

I know it is newer, but I like my 2500HD reg cab long bed Duramax. W/T with convenience package. It may have been the last 2500HD made in 2015. I ordered it in May and got it late in July 2015. Maybe I will get a vote. Only long bed I have. 60K miles

Re: September 2024 ToTM

Like I said when I posted mine, there are a lot of members with trucks much nicer than mine. But I figured what the hey it's worth a try. Also, still not sure if I can nominate another member too. ??

Re: September 2024 ToTM

Here is my offering, my dad built this truck and now isn’t able to drive or enjoy it. He gifted it to me since I’m a 60-66 nut anyway.
