Score!

i was talking to my dad and he mentioned that his boss had a set of 3/4 ton axles he pulled out of his K20 and swapped them for a pair of 10 bolts (i know, its backwards). i asked him to find out what he was going to do with them. it turns out that he just flat out doesnt have a place to store them. lucky for me, i just made room by getting rid of my 82 C10. he said to make him an offer, so i offered him $150. he ended up taking it, and i am now the proud owner of a completely gone through 10 bolt corprate front, and a corprate 14FF.

Corn, i'm getting there. one of my buddies knows where a K10 SWB frame was. im going to have him check and see if its still there. if it is, i'm going to buy it, sling my axles under it, and put my C10 cab and front clip on it. then, i'll add a 2wd rear spring front hanger on the trailing end of the rear spring, and a 2" drop shackle (dangit, i just sold a pair of those!) the front will be a 6" spring. then i'll start modifying. clearancing the calipers for 15" wheels, disc brakes on the rear. i'll probably end up running a flat bed since i cant see spending $1000 on a bed that i'm going to hack and thrash anyways. looks like the plan is not only coming together well, but quickly too.
