MPG camshafts
Anyone ever try the MPG cams they sell?
Did it work or couldn't tell compared to a generic camm of similar specs |

Re: MPG camshafts
most of these kinds of cams basically use low lift and short duration to reduce power. fuel + air = power, so the less power you make, the less fuel you use.
The best investment in better fuel economy is to do a thorough tune - get the F/A mixture and the timing curve right. Most SBCs are running around with a lousy tune at best. They run fine, but they're not making the power/drivability/fuel economy they could be. |

Re: MPG camshafts
2nd that^^ best money per pony I ever spent was a timing tape and a bluetooth O2 sensor setup. My total timing was too low, my carb was too rich. After nailing those down the results were striking.
