Removed heater box inside cab of my 68 Chevy C10 & factory color looks medium gray

I removed the heater box from underneath the dash of my 1968 Chevy C10 and I was kinda shocked to see that the factory color isn't semi gloss black like I thought it was.

It is actually a medium to dark charcoal gray color. The box has never been painted or messed with. I just thought that was interesting as I continue to restore the truck.

Same on my 1970 Blazer. I used Eastwood Zinc Phosphate paint and then shot clear over it.

My Burban is a factory 503 truck but under the dash it has a bunch of blue paint over the silver/gray paint that was used on the rest of the hidden areas of the cab.

My theory is when it was being painted the painter cleared the paint gun of the previous color under the dash before painting the rest of the truck or they just started with the wrong color.

Does it match any of the codes in the link below?

What is the SPID call out for paint?

I was hoping that I didn't confuse anybody. I am not referring to the color of my truck but only the factory color of my heater box. The heater box is a factory medium to dark charcoal gray and to my knowledge the heater box color would not be listed on the SPID. My heater box does not have any other color on it and no overspray on it at all.

The factory color for the outside of my truck is black and the factory interior color for my truck is red.

That sounds good. I think that I have found a really good paint match for it and I will shoot a test piece and compare it.
