Radio wiring help

Hello all,

I have a 2002 suburban lt.

trying to install the plug and play 1.5 din from Amazon and can not get sound.

https://www.amazon.com/Chevrolet-Cad...ct_top?ie=UTF8

In the attached picture #1. (Yellow circles) The larger buss/pin socket has a connector that plugs correctly into the burb harness (pic 2). THe unit powers up. No sound

The smaller socket circled in red will not connect to anything. What was it for? Oddly enough If I unplug The Orange connection and then plug it back in, i get sound for a few seconds and then dead air again.

What is the part circled in Pink? The Orange plug runs a few wires into the pink and on to to red female pin/plug in Red.

Was this some alarm thing? For the AMP? THe OE radio always sound bad.

Thanks in advance.

Chris
