Mixing Oils

My 2003 Tahoe w/4.8 V8 seems to be leaking oil. I had the oil changed in July and now I'm getting Oil Level Low on the odometer screen. A suspicious scum of an oil slick on my driveway, and I'm thousands of miles from Exxon Valdez...

I am out of my preferred lubricant, Valvoline 5W-30 High Mileage synthetic. [Or NAPA equivalent.]
I have one qt bottle of Mobil 1 5W-20, I got from a neighbor.

Is it OK to use this one quart of Mobil 1? No time to get to O'Reilly's in the morning before work.

Re: Mixing Oils

I have done it.

I will not sponsor or stand behind it.

Re: Mixing Oils

I have done it in the past. Full of mixed oil is better than driving low in my opinion!
