wtb rear axle gear 3/4 ton
I'm posting this thread for another guy. He has a 67 3/4 ton with some really low gears. looking to see if anyone has a 3:73 or 3:07 gear for a 3/4 ton. price?? location?? shipping?? I know shipping would probably cost an arm and a leg, seeing as how the 3/4 ton gear weight is not light. But I can't travel to the east or west coast to pick this up.

You should be able to pick up a newer 14 bolt rear with 3.73 gears, lots of them around. There are some of the newer ones with 3.42, but that's the best you'll do with a full floater.
I assume he has 4.57 gears in a 10 bolt housing. The best you can do there is 4.10, which is why I'm suggesting he swap to a newer 14 bolt rear. They cost more, but are considered bulletproof by all except the real big mudders.

Correction, 3.21 ARE Available!!
I have a set of 3.21 gears, (ring and pinion), RARE, hard to find ratio, bought NEW for my 14 Bolt, 10.5" Full Floater rear. These were in my truck about 4 months and then I switched to an overdrive tranny and took them out.
Paid $500.00 for them, will sell for $250.00 plus shipping. 72longbed Last edited by 72longbed; 01-19-2004 at 07:21 PM. |
