Upper door molding help

I may be making this harder tan I need to, but I need ideas how to thread this screw into the nut. I can only access the flat nut with the door open and then the screw is inside the fender. Please don't say take door off.

Re: Upper door molding help

The clip goes in behind the hinge arm and accessible but not easy with door in partially open position. Put the screw through the hole in door to get the feel of location. Carefully work the screw and screw clip in place than tighten. You work in a blind position so its all by feel.

Re: Upper door molding help

I've seen people use some sticky stuff sort like tar to hold the back "nut" in place - probably any bodyshop can tell you what it is

Alternative: TAKE THE DOOR OFF
