Opinions on disc brakes
I want to do a very low budget disk brake conversion on my 68. I know I can either get the parts from a 71/72, or the whole crossmember from a 73+ truck.
My question is which is better of the two choices, in regards to: Actual stopping power parts cost - (ie replacement costs for pads, rotors etc) Anyone have info / opinions?

Personally I prefer the rubber bushings that the 73 & up have. I feel it's a better design. Plus parts are more common which is always nice on a road trip.

You dont need the crossmember from a 73 and up. The upper and lower control arms will bolt right up. No messing with moter mounts. Just make shure you get the center link and the iner and outer tie rod ends
